Ever want to live in a castle? Now’s your chance to buy one in OKC

“Our castle represents years of hard work that allowed us to build it as we wanted to and not worry about cost,” Milam said in a news release and on the Supreme Auctions website. “We tried to think of everything that would fit a large family and succeeded in the perfect house with its own unique style.

“I can’t even tell you what I love the most about this house, there are too many things to list. The large garage that you can pull into and then completely turn around is great. The main living room that holds all of our large family at Christmas with room to ride any toys or gifts. Historic Colorado Redstone Castle on market for $16.9 mill

One of the most glamorous, architectural wonders in Colorado is on the market — for a little less than $17 million.

The famous Redstone Castle, which rests about an hour outside of Aspen in Redstone, was built in 1902 and fully restored in 2018 by current owners April and Steve Carver, who said they had admired the historic building from afar before stepping in to give it a makeover. At first, the structure seemed out of their financial reach as they spent years restoring another Colorado wonder — the Hotel Denver.

“Then we watched it sell for $6 million and said nope, not in our reach,” Steve Carver said to The Colorado Sun. “Then we watched it sell for $4 million and said nope, still not there. And then we got a card in the mail that they were having an auction with a minimum bid of $2 million.”

The 15,600-square-foot building at 1136 Lynnhaven Parkway known for its regal facade is vacant.

Mike Zarpas, S.L. Nusbaum’s vice president of retail brokerage and development, said the building is available for sale for $1.6 million or for lease at a rate of $12 per square foot per year. Tenants pay an additional monthly charge for taxes, insurance and maintenance on top of the monthly base rate.

Just a hop, skip and jump from the Lynnhaven Mall, the building has had a few occupants through the years.

This castle doesn’t date back to the Middle Ages; it was built more than three decades ago in 1984. Originally it was a Toy Castle toy store — hence its fortress-themed exterior.

It then housed Paul’s Arts & Crafts and, most recently, The Salvation Army

Man admits faking bank documents for $1.3 million loan on CNY castle estate (report)

A New York man has admitted to forging bank documents for a $1.3 million loan to buy a Central New York castle estate.

WKTV reports Jason Safford, 45, of Queens, pleaded guilty to bank fraud, attempted wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in connection with a mortgage refinance loan for Gelston Castle Estate in Mohawk. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Safford illegally obtained the loan on behalf of his company, Safflyn Green Industries, which operates Gelston Estates.

According to the Times Telegram, a nearly two-year investigation by the FBI determined Safford used fake bank statements and deposit documents, as well as a false appraisal for the property, to get a $1.3 million from RS Lending in 2016. Safford also used forged documents in 2018 for a $2 million loan application on 980 Robinson Road, a property next to Gelston Estates; appraisal documents valued the Gelston property at $325,000 but he
