Oak Park Police On Trick-Or-Treat: ‘Respect’ Homes Not Partaking

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park Police Department announced Wednesday the official 2020 trick-or-treating hours for Oak Park will be 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., as public health officials provide recommendations and guidelines on how residents can celebrate as safely as possible during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to police, guidelines include reducing close contact with people outside your household, and wearing a mask, which officials say is essential to reducing the risk of contracting or spreading the coronavirus.

Local officials also urge trick-or-treaters to respect the properties of those who do not wish to participate in the traditional ritual of handing out candy, police said.
