Nearly 19 million Americans could lose their homes next year

Millions of Americans are in danger of losing their homes when federal and local limits on evictions expire at the end of the year, a growing body of research shows.

A report issued this month from the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) and the University of Arizona estimates that 6.7 million households could be evicted in the coming months. That amounts to 19 million people potentially losing their homes, rivaling the dislocation that foreclosures caused after the subprime housing bust.

Target ‘Cyber Week’ sale features largest-ever lineup of digital deals, retailer says

Target announced Friday it will soon launch its “Cyber Week” sales event that the retail giant claimed will offer the largest-ever lineup of digital deals.

The announcement comes as the company wraps up its month-long “Black Friday Now” sale. The retailer’s Cyber Week event is expected to kick off Sunday and run through Saturday, Dec. 5, Target said in a statement.

The sale includes discounts on top items across several item categories, including electronics, toys, home décor, apparel, everyday essentials and more, according to the statement.

New this year, Target will offer two digital “Flash Sales” on “Cyber Monday” on Nov. 30, giving customers the chance to score lower prices on dozens of items, the company noted in its statement.

Same-day delivery and pickup options are being made available so customers can retrieve their purchases throughout the week, according to Target.

MLB catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia selling S. Fla. home


Former Major League Baseball catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia has listed his Wellington, FL home for $3.3 million.


Former Major League Baseball catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, whose 12-year career included a one-year stint with the Miami Marlins, is asking $3.3 million for his home base in Wellington, located just west of his home town of West Palm Beach.

Saltalamacchia, 35, paid $2.65 million for the 6,048 square-foot, Tuscan-inspired home in 2013, according to Realtor.com. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom spread includes a dedicated home theater with seating for 15, a saltwater pool and a master suite with its own breakfast bar.

The home is located inside the private community of the Aero Club of Wellington, which includes a 4,000-foot paved runway, and includes direct access to the runway and a hangar.

Martha Wachtel Jolicoeur with Douglas Elliman is handling the listing.

Saltalamacchia began his pro baseball in 2007, playing for the Atlanta Braves.

Real estate SPAC CBRE Acquisition Holdings lowers deal size by 13% ahead of $350 million IPO

CBRE Acquisition Holdings, a blank check company formed by CBRE targeting growth companies, lowered the proposed deal size for its upcoming IPO on Friday.

The Dallas, TX-based company now plans to raise $350 million by offering 35 million  SAIL (Stakeholder Aligned Initial Listing) securities at a price of $10. The company had previously filed to offer 40 million securities at the same price. Each security will now consist of one share of common stock and one-fourth of a warrant, exercisable at $11. Each security previously contained one-fifth of a warrant. At the revised deal size, CBRE Acquisition Holdings will raise -13% less in proceeds than previously anticipated.

The company is led by Chairman Robert Sulentic, who currently serves as CEO of CBRE and previously served as CEO of Trammell Crow; CEO and Director William Concannon, who currently serves as Global Group President of Clients and Business Partners
