Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones has added to his substantial Collin County property holdings with a land purchase for a new business park.
Jones’ Blue Star Land has purchased 40 acres on First Street in Prosper.
The land was acquired for a new business park, according to broker Rex Glendenning with Rex Real Estate who handled the sale.
Blue Star Land already owned two adjoining properties. And the company’s Star Trail residential community is just to the west.
The business park sites are just north of the Gates of Prosper, a mixed-use development that Blue Star is developing with Lincoln Property Co.
The Gates of Prosper include large shopping centers on both sides of Preston Road on the north side of U.S. Highway 380.
Blue Star Land acquired the Prosper business park site from Prosper’s Mahard family.
Cowboys’ owner Jones is already building an industrial park in Frisco.
The 200-acre Star Business Park on Preston Road at Rockhill Parkway recently landed a new Amazon delivery center.
And international technology firm GEA Group is leasing 78,000 square feet of industrial space in the Star Business Park.
