If you’ve ever wanted to own your very own movie theater, or just wanted to have a lot of the necessary equipment in your home, opportunity is knocking. And it’s brought a popcorn machine.
Movie-Town in Elizabethtown, which closed back in April due to the coronavirus pandemic, is auctioning off all of its contents this month.
The sale, run by PCI Auction House, began on Oct. 7 and will run through Oct. 27.
All of the contents of the building are up for auction online, including all the movie projectors, the movie screens, audio equipment, seats (some of which are unboxed), speakers and yes, even the popcorn machine.
You can see the full list of materials, as well as current bids, on PCI’s website.
Some of these items can be rather expensive brand-new. According to Sydney Winkler, a marketing specialist for PCI, the Barco movie projectors originally cost about $150,000. The largest current bid on one of the projectors is $6,927.
