A colonial-era village of 40 buildings spread over six hectares has been put on the market in Victoria.

The estate at 8 Allans Road in Maldon near Bendigo features structures that are more than 150 years old, offering an incredibly unique time-warp property for prospective buyers.

The abandoned village comes complete with a dance hall, general store, jail, hotel and a restaurant that can hold 60 diners.

There’s a bowling alley on site, as well as an undertakers with coffins in a combination of historical buildings and replicas made using techniques and materials consistent with the 1850s Gold Rush era such as wattle and daub, mud brick and slab construction.
