Palm Beach Biltmore penthouse condo sells for $9.64 million

Private-equity specialist Charles Ayres has paid a recorded $9.64 million for a penthouse condominium in the Palm Beach Biltmore, a deed recorded Friday shows.

The sale marks the highest recorded sales price fetched by a Palm Beach condominium in at least a year, property records show.

The condo — No. 1002 at 150 Bradley Place in Palm Beach — was sold privately by fashion executive John D. Idol, who owns a lakefront house across town. He heads Capri Holdings, formerly known as Michael Kors Holdings, the company founded by the American designer of the same name.
