BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The former Redwood Inn property in Bridgewater has been sold for just over $1.8 million and seven new homes are slated to be built on the land.
Bridgewater councilmembers passed a resolution on Nov. 23 accepting the sale of the property at 1475 Mountain Top Road to M. Lombardi Developers, L.L.C. for $1,837,500.
The developer received Zoning Board approval to split the 7.641 acres into seven residential lots. All single-family homes, according toBridgewater Spokesman Wells Winegar.
“This property will no longer continue to be an eyesore and it will be developed in an appropriate way for the neighborhood, as well as provide additional revenue for the township,” said Bridgewater Mayor Matthew Moench.
The property formerly stood at the center of a lawsuit dispute between Al Falah Center and Bridgewater Township over a proposed mosque. It was settled in December 2015. The settlement gave Al Falah a 10.75
