Miami’s Aston Martin Residences offers condo buyers free SUV

Buy a multi-million dollar condo at Miami’s Aston Martin Residences, and the luxury sports car brand will throw in its namesake SUV for free.

Aston Martin, the gentleman’s sportscar car of choice for the likes of James Bond, introduced its 2021 Aston Martin DBX to British and U.S. car buyers in November. It’s Aston Martin’s first SUV and its first model to be shipped out from its new assembly plant at St. Athan, Wales.

The brand’s first condo project, at the mouth of the Miami River, is offering the car as a bonus to buyers. The SUV sells for $176,900 — a soupcon of the unit prices that start at $5.3 million. If the SUV doesn’t suit, a buyer can select the 2020 Aston Martin DB11, which sells for $205,600.

The 66-story condo, developed by Aston Martin and the Miami-based G&G Business Developments, is under construction at 300 Biscayne Boulevard

Home buyers pivot back to urban cities, rural areas still hot

A new report released Tuesday by real estate brokeredge Redfin found a 200% year-over-year increase in page views for homes in large metro areas, including cities and their surrounding suburbs, during the month of October.

The new finding demonstrates renewed homebuyer interest in urban areas after searches stagnated in March and April when the coronavirus pandemic hit. However, remote work and homeschooling has also led to a surge in interest in less densely populated areas, with rural and suburban areas still outpacing demand for urban areas.

Searches for homes in rural areas increased 235% year-over-year, a deceleration from a 273% peak in August. Meanwhile, small towns saw searches rise 218% year-over-year in October, a major increase but lower than the 233% peak a month

‘Buyers like to add value’: Tips and tricks to get the best price when selling your house

Ray White chief operating officer Daniel Coulson, said it’s important sellers don’t go overboard personalising their home. Leaving a job for the new owners also isn’t a bad idea.

“The trick with preparing a property for sale is staying away from personalising the home too much: it should have as broad appeal as possible,” Coulson said.

“Most buyers like the idea of being able to ‘add some value’, it can actually be beneficial to leave something for the next owner to do,” he added.

Focus on street appeal, the kitchen, bathroom/s and wardrobes

As first impressions are at the curbside, there are a few simple ways sellers can add value.

“Affordable options for maximising value include tidying gardens and paving, fixing up the front fence and painting the front door,” Coulson said.

Homeowners with bigger budgets and more time could focus on upgrading the kitchen, bathroom/s and wardrobes.
