A forlorn-looking, Colonial-style house in Southwest Portland’s tony Arlington Heights neighborhood is listed for sale at $499,900, a deep discount from other properties in the area.
Offers for the vacant, vandalized home at 2955 S.W. Fairview Blvd., between West Burnside Street and Washington Park, are due to broker Tim Shannon by noon on Monday, Nov. 9.
“Tour it in person or via video chat before it’s gone,” states Shannon in the listing description. “Rare Arlington Heights fixer. Sold together with additional vacant building lot. Area of $1M+ homes. Upside potential for builder/investor/rehabber.”
The two-story dwelling with a basement was built in 1927 and sits on a 3,920 square foot lot.
Paint is peeling off the siding. Some of the windows are boarded up and “defund the police” and graffiti have been spray painted on crumbling walls.
“I’ve received many, many phone calls and several offers,” said Shannon on Sunday morning.
