The renowned Seven Seas restaurant and event space overlooking Lake Nagawicka has been put up for sale after 39 years in business. Owner Linda Weissgerber said they had “no other choice but to make that difficult decision” because of COVID-19.
Weissgerber said they “depend a lot” on banquets and weddings, and because of the pandemic, that part of their business is “totally gone.” She also said people are “very reluctant to go out to eat” at this time.
“We are so grateful for (our customers) many years of loyalty and are very sad it had to come to this,” she said. “But somehow, everyone’s life has been changed with this terrible disease.”
Weissgerber said they plan to continue operating the Delafield restaurant — known for its steaks, seafood and vast wine
