CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – “I am interested in the way things look.”
That is the simple credo of Eric Beyer, who has taken the same energies he uses as a product designer to what he calls his “endless project” at his home at 1601 Grassy Lane Road in Cazenovia.
Beyer first became aware of the 96-acre property, which was once a dairy farm and, later, home to the Cazenovia College Equestrian program, six years before he bought it in 2013.
Located at the end of a dirt road, the property was very private, with the closest neighbor a quarter of a mile away.
“The lot was really cool,” he said. “It was like entering a new world.”
He asked the owners if they were interested in selling and they said no. Six years later, they changed their mind.
