Sweet sensation: Sugar Land girl recognized for entrepreneurship

Colombian raw brown sugar and a touch of orange have become a recipe for success for young entrepreneur Sabrina Roesler.

The 9-year-old Sugar Land fourth grader was recognized as the Lemonade Day Houston 2020 Youth Entrepreneur of the Year in October for her business, Fresh’n Juicy. She won a free bicycle for her efforts.

Lemonade Day began in Houston in 2007 to help children launch their own lemonade stands with the idea that they donate some of their proceeds to a cause of their choice. Since then, more than 1 million children from 84 communities across the United States, Canada, Bermuda and South Africa have participated. Sabrina began her Lemonade Day journey last year.
