An advertising executive from Tennessee is the new owner of a house developed on speculation and completed in 2017 on the North End of Palm Beach.

Scott R. Norman, principal of ARS Advertising in Chattanooga, paid a recorded $7 million for the four-bedroom house at 1233 N. Ocean Way. 

It was sold by Grammarian Inc., a Florida company for which the sole shareholders are Nazem and Hashim Fawwaz Nazem Alkudsi of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, according to documents recorded Nov. 20.

Grammarian Inc., which was previously registered in Oregon, paid a recorded $5.475 million for the house in May 2017, when it was new. With 5,236 total square feet, the house comes with a rare perk for a non-oceanfront property —

City of Norman, partners work toward affordable housing | News

The City of Norman and affordable housing organizations will chip away at a long waiting list for families in need with the construction of three houses on West Johnson and North Stewart.

The Norman City Council approved $653,820 during its Tuesday meeting to help construct three, three-bedroom homes as part of an ongoing partnership with the Norman Affordable Housing Corporation (NAHC) and the Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). Both are not-for-profit organizations dedicated to affordable and handicapped-accessible housing.

According to a staff report, the houses will be built by CHDO and the vacant lots will be donated by the NAHC to the project. Each home will be approximately 1,600 square feet with a single-car garage and will rent for approximately $800 a month. The NAHC will manage the properties. The city’s portion of the funds will come from its HOME fund account.
