A highly-productive low-input
dairy farm on the outskirts of Hamilton – and encompassing

in Ngahinapouri some three kilometres south-west of

Century-Old Hoover Estate To Be Razed To Make Way For Subdivision

GLENCOE, IL — The developer who purchased the former Hoover Estate nearly two years ago received village approval to build a subdivision called Forest Edge on the 12.2-acre parcel, the village’s largest undeveloped piece of land.

Arthur Goldner & Associates purchased the property at 1801 Green Bay Road from the late widow of H. Earl Hoover, developer of many “suction sweeper” patents and longtime chairman of the vacuum company founded by his uncle.

The estate includes a 10,000-square-foot Tudor manor house, a coach house and a stable house with an attached greenhouse.

Hoover bought the property in 1921 and four years later commissioned architect William Furst, whose firm also designed New Trier High School, Glencoe Village Hall, a trio of the village’s original public schools and Seabury Western Seminary at Northwestern University in Evanston, to build the estate.

Vacant lot sells for $9 million at former Kluge estate subdivision

The Palm Beach lot just sold was the fourth of six subdivided by Sir Peter Wood from an estate once owned by the late billionaire John Kluge.

Another vacant lot has changed hands in the Estate Section subdivision carved from the former Palm Beach estate of the late billionaire John Kluge.

The interior lot sold for $8.964 million, the price recorded Thursday with the deed. The lot lies immediately west off the cul-de-sac that terminates Middle Road. The lot also stretches south into the subdivision.

Measuring seven-tenths of an acre, the parcel at 86 Middle Road is the fourth to sell in the six-lot subdivision spearheaded by Sir Peter Wood, a British insurance magnate turned real estate developer who lives near the property.

Attorney Gregory E. Young signed the deed as the authorized representative of a limited liability company named 89 Middle Road
