Inside time-warp 160-year old Southampton house with links to D-Day that’s ‘like a museum’

A quirky narrow house lived in by the same 83-year-old man for all his life which is ‘like a museum’ and filled with retro fittings has gone up for sale.

The narrow house, on Millbrook Road East, in Southampton, Hampshire, somehow crams in three bedrooms, and four reception rooms across three floors and is on sale for £250,000.

The current owner, Ernie Bartlett, has now moved into a retirement home.

One of the white pillars outside the front of the home has a crack in it from when a tank was driven into it while on the way to take part in the D-Day Normandy Landings in 1944.
