A landmark Highland Park estate has been sold to a California social media company founder with deep Texas roots.
The more than 100-year-old Cary estate on Lakeside Drive is one of the Park Cities’ surviving early 20th-century mansions. It was sold to a trust headed by Nirav Tolia, co-founder of neighborhood networking site Nextdoor.
The six-bedroom, more than 7,600-square-foot historic home was listed for sale earlier this year for $12.5 million by Dallas’ Allie Beth Allman & Associates.
Nirav N. Tolia and Megha T. Tolia, trustees of the Nirav and Megha Family Trust, bought the house from the family of the late Dallas businessman Al G. Hill Jr. The purchase was financed with a $6 million loan from JPMorgan Chase Bank, according to deed records.
